Sour milk
There is nothing like seeing milk the 2nd time around. That is what I was fortunate to witness today every half hour. My poor little boy probably lost a good 5.2 pounds today from throwing up from 9 a.m. until 12:30 this afternoon. He woke up with a sore throat and asked for something to drink, which should've been the first red flag to my groggy memory this morning. But I figured since he hasn't thrown up like this in awhile (it would usually happen monthly, almost to the day), that I would quench his thirst by giving him a half glass of water. Then he wanted milk. He downed that half glass too. 20 minutes later, a big white lump of regurgitated milk came back up. After that it was foam and air for the next 3 hours. I even found him alseep laying on the living room floor. His eyes were all guant, his tummy looked like it was sucked in. I knew not to give him anything. Especially Gatorade, which the doctor suggested once. Purple acid does not come out of the carpet well. But one thing does work. Fizzy. Vernors to be exact. And the hero of the day brought it to him. All was well. A full dinner will be eaten without a problem of keeping it down. This afternoon, pillow fights insued. Screaming siblings took charge of the quietness once more. The talking back has taken precidence yet again. Bossiness of the wee little nipper is back in full force. Ahhhh....peaceful noise.

Oh so gross. And so weird. That poor boy.
I love how you say peaceful noise...that's classic.
yes..it was a wierd day yesterday. Though when there's screaming and talking back, I don't feel peaceful, but that's when I knew everything was back to normal.
oh - no! wow. i so admire you for handling it well - and for being able to talk about it. i'm grossed out just reading it. glad to know everything's back to normal now!
I've gotten used to it as he was doing it for months on end. Though it's always the first run to the bathroom that gets me. if I can make it through that one, I'm golden. yeah..he had a big bowl of alfredo pasta last night and a sucker. He's totally fine.
Hi, Jean! I'm so glad you found my blog! It has been a loooong time. I saw the pics on Ed's blog, and I can't believe how grown up your kids are. It really has been that long. I have you bookmarked now!
Hi Amelia :) Thanks for stopping by. Yeah...kids are growing up waaaaay to fast for my comfort. 5 and 2. They push me just this side of insanity sometimes but I do love them. :)
Vernors is the wonder drink for such times. I'm glad he is feeling better!
Vernors always makes me cough when i drink it with it being so fizzy it goes up my nose. I've heard that it's only found in MI and the surrounding states, and no where else. Thanks Kass. You'd never know he was sick now.
Gosh darn bl0gger, I'm having a hard time posting comments! I hope the other one on the wired comment went thru! Why does it have to be sooo flakey! Anyways...
I hate being sick. But, I hate it more when the kids are. Makes it a lot harder.
Nope didn't get it Maki...
Sick kids make my heart sad too.
Darn! Blogger has been giving me grief this morning too. I dont' even remember what the heck I commented on the last post. Oh well. I thought of you and tried, just so you know ;-)
Vernors is in several places in Texas and I assume in other parts of the country. It is one of my favorite drinks. It makes me cough too at times.
