Review of The Road Before Us by Janine Rosche

This is the 2nd book I've read by Janine Rosche and as with the first book, it did not disappoint. This is a unique story of a journey of a famous actress who is a widow, her adult foster son and their unemployed financial advisor taking a trip on Route 66.  With flashbacks of the main characters, the reader begins to get a picture of how the past has shaped each person and where it has led each of them. Rosche does a fantastic job of not rushing the story, but sets it at a steady pace to keep the reader engaged, but it also does not feel hurried to get you to the end. With a touch of romance thrown in to the mix, this book is a great read as you enjoy a lazy summer afternoon or a good one to travel with you on vacation.

Revell Reads sent me this complimentary book to review. Opinions expressed are my own.
